Expatriate Procurement/ Purchasing Manager

Permanent management level position in SADC in Swaziland.

As an organization that is firmly committed towards working with their internal and external customers to suit their every need, they seek a Purchasing / Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role in their world-class operation. 

Willingly apply for this role if you are a Purchasing Manager or Procurement Manager or Contracts Manager for a large heavy manufacturing or plant, FMCG, petrochemical, paper or mining (etc) organisation. Also necessary is your experience in working with large stores, purchasing heavy machinery and plant, working with large budgets (Millions of rands, €, $, pounds, Yen, etc). You must also have experience in negotiating pricing contracts and discounts. Your experience in BAAN / SAP / IT purchasing systems and experience in driving and creating procurement / purchasing policies and strategies are also necessary. In addition, a track record of minimizing costs, implementing purchasing / procurement tools, managing a team, a University degree (BCom. preferred) as well as Purchasing and/or Supply certifications are required. An MBA will be highly preferred.

  • Proven track record in purchasing
  • Bachelor Degree in Commerce or equivalent qualification
  • 5 years post qualification experience in purchasing environment with at least three years in a Senior position
  • Sound commercial acumen and knowledge of computerized inventory systems
  • Good numeracy, organizational and communication skills.

Of distinct advantage for consideration for this opportunity is an MBA or MBL.
